I have been in Title for over 18 years and have an Escrow license as well as a Title license.  I have done just about all aspects that a Title Company covers including Customer Service Rep, Escrow Assistant, Policy Typist, Marketer, and mainly as an Escrow Officer.  This has been an amazing career and I love being involved in Real Estate.  I have a passion for helping my clients with their business and contributing to their growth and success.  I also very much enjoy the interaction I get to have with buyers and sellers as they navigate the biggest financial decision they will have and a lot of times the joy that they get from those transactions as they plan the next step in their lives.

I have been married for 9 years to the most amazing, beautiful woman and am very grateful for her.  I also have 4 kids that make my world go round and I absolutely love being their Dad.  Also have a golden retriever named Foxy and she simply is the best.

My name is Sydney Hawkes. I am a dual licensed escrow officer residing in Weber/Davis county. I was born and raised in Wyoming, where my mom owned her own title company. I owe so much to her as my biggest cheerleader and role model growing up and still to this day. Title and escrow has been a huge part of my entire life. I started when I was a sophomore in high school. I moved to Ogden Utah in 2015. Since then I have obtained not only my escrow license but my title license. I am familiar with all types of transactions and pride myself in pouring my entire heart and soul into my job. My personal interest include golfing, watching my favorite football team lose all their games, and most importantly spending time with my children and husband. I’m excited for this opportunity as a chance to grow and fill the needs of my clients.

I started my title career in late 2001. Since then, I have had the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the best in our field.  Title has become more than my career. It has become a passion that drives me to continually learn more and serve our clients with the best knowledge and effort I can deliver. 

I am also a proud husband and a father of 4 incredible kids who keep me centered on the things that matter most in life. My greatest love outside of my family is music. I play guitar for several bands, do studio recording work, and can most likely be found on the weekends rocking out in a venue somewhere in the Intermountain west.

I am a Licensed Escrow Assistant. I have been in the industry for over 10 years working in California, Colorado, and Utah. I took a small break for 6 years when we moved to Wyoming to stay home with my kids when they were small.  I have enjoyed this amazing career and have a passion for always learning more, so I can contribute to a seamless transaction process. I enjoy being able to help people with their biggest financial investments.  

I have been married for 11 years to a wonderful, supportive husband. We have 2 kids and 2 heelers that keep us pretty busy. We enjoy traveling to the Caribbean ocean, any chance we get, and camping in the mountains on the weekends.

I have over 40 years of business experience in various different fields. I am excited to join Freedom Title Insurance Agency and utilize my role to contribute to the success and growth of the company.  

Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our family and friends. We are proud parents of two sons, in-laws to two incredible women, and grandparents to eight grandchildren, four boys and four girls. My other interests include travel, music, theater, sports, and too many other areas to name.

Eric is a General Partner in the software incubator Wildfire Labs and the Managing Partner of the software development firm and incubator, BroodStack. He is a Co-Founder of ControlQore and the owner of Royal Elk Real Estate. He is an entrepreneur-in-residence at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology where he mentors budding engineering entrepreneurs to compete in the South Dakota Governor’s Giant Vision Business Plan Competition.

Eric has spent the last 20 years in entrepreneurial and investment endeavors with several successful exits in the real estate and software industries. The largest of which was the development, construction, and operation of three assisted living facilities that resulted in the care and management of 129 residents and 105 staff.  He was also part of the investment/advisor team behind AdvisorPeak, a fintech software company that was acquired in 2021 by Addepar Inc.

Prior to this, he managed several businesses in the hospitality and service-related industries. Eric has demonstrated a history of strong business leadership skills in strategic and business planning, financial management, operations management, customer service, team building, market research and real estate development. 

Eric has a B.B.A. Financial Management degree from the University of North Dakota. He also has a commercial pilots license with multi-engine and instrument ratings.
